Question Time
-
Do I still need fertilisers?Yes! Plants need a diverse range of nutrients to develop and grow to their full potential, these nutrients are used up by the plant and will eventually run out, so the addition of a quality balanced fertiliser is the best way to keep plants and biology happy.

How do our products work?If you'd like to dig a bit deeper, read more on our 'How it Works' page.

What are the benefits of soil biology?Soil is your plant's home. The bacteria and fungi in soil have developed relationships with plants over millions of years. In exchange for food from the plant root system, biology will do almost anything to keep a plant healthy including: Solubilise nutrient and carry it back to the plant, Produce antibiotics and other enzymes to help the plant stay healthy, Fix soil structure problems to make it easy for the plant's roots to grow including air porosity and water retention, Boost the plants own immune systems.
-
Is this safe to use around pets and children?Soil biology is naturally derived and as such is safe for children and pets.
-
How often do I need to apply it?Actual biology (bacteria and fungi) can be applied each month, but if they are used in conjunction with biological stimulants then biology can be applied every 3 months. Biological stimulants need to be applied at least once a month, the stimulants are a food source for the living biology which in rough timing has a life cycle of around 40 days. It makes it easier to remember by applying the stimulant each month - 30 days.
-
What are the benefits of using this particular biology? Our biology (a selection of bacteria and fungi) is from commercial products produced in Australia that are proven in scientific studies and farming, demonstrating the ability of the biology to carry out specific functions in a real soil environment, not just in a laboratory. They are capable of functioning in adverse conditions and remediating many soil issues. Creating happier, healthier plants.
-
Can I use soil biology in my compost?Yes. Our biology is chosen for it's strength, versatility and function. When the biology is put in with plants it goes into plant help mode, when it is added to compost it goes into compost mode. The strains of biology we use are aggressive cellulose (plant matter) decomposers and will speed up the breaking down of compostable matter.
-
Can soil biology be used on Australian native plants?Yes. All of our products are safe to use on phosphorus sensitive Australian native plants such as Banksia, Grevillea, Hakeas, etc. All plants have had a relationship with soil biology for millions of years. Plants and soil biology work together to help each other survive even in the harshest environments, from freezing tundra plants, rainforests and cacti in a desert biology, plants work together.
-
What is 'soil biology'?Our 'Soil biology' contains hundreds of soil bacteria and fungi. These living organisms are found in healthy, fertile soils and have formed mutually beneficial relationships with plants over many many years.
